Once or twice a week is a good starting point for most, though it depends on the individual and how sensitive your skin is. If your skin is not sensitive and reacts well to the first session, you can use it up to 3 times a week, with a day break in between each session.

1) Sterilize roller in 70 percent isopropyl alcohol solution before and after each use.

2) Clean skin with a gentle cleanser

3) Wash and pat skin dry.

4) Roll back and forth in the desired area 4 - 5 times. Switch direction.

5) Apply moisturizer or repairing serum after use. Use once a week for optimal results.

6) Replace roller once every 1 - 2 months if using frequently and store in plastic case.

Note: We do not recommend microneedling under the eye. The under eye area is very sensitive and has a very fine layer of skin, which the dermaroller can harm.

For maximum skincare effect, we strongly recommend cleansing your face before rolling with a gentle cleanser. You should apply your favorite hydrating serum immediately after using the microneedle roller, but avoid retinols or any harsh skincare products.

A microneedle size less than 0.3mm is considered safe for home use. Anything longer than 0.3mm could potentially damage your skin when not performed by a professional. 

Sanitize the head in alcohol solution for 5-10 minutes before and after each use. Rinse with water, and store in original packaging. 

Depending on your skin’s sensitivity, you may be able to continue retinol use while actively using a microneedle. Consider waiting 24-48 hours after your first dermaroller use and performing a patch test to see how your skin reacts. Due to the strong effects retinol has on your skin, it may not be a suitable product to use post-microneedling.
